Overview

The Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) 2025 for IIM Indore is scheduled for May 12, 2025, in the afternoon shift. This exam is the entry point for students aiming to join IIM Indore’s esteemed 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), tailored for individuals who have completed their 12th standard or equivalent.

Program Structure:

  • Foundation Phase (First Three Years): This phase emphasizes building a robust academic foundation through courses in management, humanities, social sciences, and quantitative techniques.
  • Management Phase (Final Two Years): Students transition into advanced management studies, aligning with IIM Indore’s flagship Post Graduat Programme in Management (PGP).
  • Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a dual degree: Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Integrated Program in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Age Requirement
  • Candidates must be born on or after August 1, 2005.
  • A 5-year relaxation is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates, making their eligible birth date on or after August 1, 2000.
Educational Qualification
  • Candidates should have completed Standard XII/HSC or an equivalent examination in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026.
  • A minimum aggregate of 60% in both Standard X (SSC) and Standard XII (HSC) is required for General candidates.
  • For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the minimum percentage is 55% in both exams
Additional Notes
  • Candidates appearing for Standard XII/HSC in 2026 are eligible to apply. However, if selected, their admission will be provisional until they submit the required documents.
  • While calculating percentages for Standard X and XII, all subjects mentioned in the mark sheet must be considered, regardless of board-specific subject requirements

The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore is a five-year management course designed for students who have completed their 12th standard or equivalent. The program is divided into two phases:

  1. Foundation Phase (First 3 Years) – Focuses on business fundamentals, social sciences, and analytical skills.
  2. Management Phase (Last 2 Years) – Aligns with IIM Indore’s PGP (MBA) curriculum, offering advanced management education.
The fee structure is categorized separately for domestic and international students and varies across the two phases.

Admission Process

1. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore, candidates must meet the following requirements:

I. Age Requirement:

General category candidates must be born on or after August 1, 2005.

SC/ST/PwD category candidates receive a five-year relaxation and must be born on or after August 1, 2000.

II. Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have completed or be appearing for Standard XII/HSC or an equivalent examination in the years 2024, 2025, or 2026.

III. Minimum Marks:

There is no specific minimum percentage requirement mentioned for eligibility, but candidates must satisfy their respective board’s criteria.

Students from IGCSE, IBDP, or IBCP backgrounds must submit an IB Indian Percentage Transcript for evaluation.
Applicants yet to complete their Standard XII/HSC or equivalent by July 31, 2025, must provide proof of completion before registration.

2. Application Process

I. Application Window: February 14, 2025 – March 27, 2025 (till 5:00 PM).
II. Mode of Application: Online via the IIM Indore admissions portal.

III. Application Fees:

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹4,130
  • SC/ST/PwD: ₹2,065

  • Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration Certificate (if required)

3. Selection Process

The admission process consists of five key stages:

Stage 1: Application Submission

Eligible candidates must complete and submit the online application form before the deadline. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.

Stage 2: IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT 2026)

The IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT 2026) is a national-level entrance exam designed to assess candidates’ quantitative, verbal, and analytical abilities.

Stage 3: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round based on their IPMAT scores and sectional cutoffs.
  • The minimum cutoffs are decided based on the number of applicants and their performance.
  •  Candidates who fail to meet the sectional cutoffs will not qualify for the PI round.

Stage 4: Personal Interview (PI)

Aptitude Test Score (ATS) Calculation

The Aptitude Test Score (ATS) is calculated using the following weighted formula:

The formula for calculating each section’s scaled score is:

*As per the latest IIM Indore update, ATS is now calculated using the scaled scores of each section. The weightage varies based on normalization.
Scaled Score = Where the maximum and minimum scores are the highest and lowest scores obtained in the respective sections by candidates from the eligible pool.

*This ATS score is then used to determine eligibility for the Personal Interview (PI) round.

The PI round is conducted online or offline (to be announced) and evaluates candidates on:

II. General awareness
III. Confidence & personality
IV. Academic knowledge
Candidates must perform well in the PI to be considered for final selection.

Stage 5: Final Selection & Merit List

The final selection is based on a composite score derived from the IPMAT score and PI performance.
